Description

Calvados is one of the best kept secrets of France and we believe that here in the Château de Brouay we provide some of the best classic and rare Calvados in the world. The outstanding taste experience of Château de Brouay Calvados is based on three key ingredients. First, our 23 traditional varieties of cider apples, which grow organically on Standard tree apple trees, and make a first-class cider to be distilled for Calvados. Secondly, we have extraordinary wooden Demptos French oak barrels in which our Calvados matures slowly and its depth, complexity and its rich color acquires. These are then stored in our charming Calvados cellar and regularly maintained.
Thirdly, great skill and care go into the composition of an annual "Assemblage" or the mixture of the scale of different vintages to produce our Calvados Hors d'Age. Château de Brouay Calvados is composed of 15 to 20 barrels, aged 6 to 18 years. The rich, aromatic spirit is offered in a specially designed and numbered carafe. A micro-production of only 1800 carafes in making our Calvados very special and unique.
