Description

A rare, botrytis-powered Chenin Blanc dessert wine from Loire’s Grand Cru. Château de Fesles, situated in the prestigious Bonnezeaux AOC of the Loire Valley, crafts legendary botrytized Chenin Blancs. This 1997 vintage is offered in the rarer half-bottle format, presenting a balance of golden richness, opulence, and finesse.
Robert Parker (Wine Advocate) rated 90, described as “Immensely rich, ripe, densely packed with quince, apricots, and spices… layered, intense, and full-bodied with an admirably positive oak influence.”
This 500ml bottle is a standout opportunity to aquire a slice of Grand Cru Loire sweetness with age and rarity, ideal for passionate collectors of botrytized whites or historic dessert wine expressions.
Provenance excellent, having been stored in a private, purpose built cellar under optimal conditions since initial purchase at release. Minor label scuffs and discolouration, consistent with age, as per pictures provided.
