Description

A good vintage producing high quality wines that are similar in style to 1998 and
2000. Expressive, elegant and fruity with ripe fully developed tannins and great
texture. This quality is seen in the through the Cru, Beaujolais Villages and
Beaujolais wines.
Vintage began eleven days earlier than the in 2006 on the 25th August. The crop
was smaller than normal with yields between ten and fifteen percent lower than the
average. Very few growers reached the official maximum permitted yield which
resulted in grapes that were healthy and good quality.

Weather conditions were generally ideal throughout the growing season. Warm
sunny days, chilly nights and a dry September allowed the grapes to ripen slowly
with gradual development of the anthcyans and polyphenols (the elements of the
grape that give the colour, flavour and structure to the finished wine).

A surprising vintage. Very particular wines, mellow tanins. A great pleasure.
