Description

To amateurs of dessert wines, Doisy Daene needs no introductions.
Daene is the name of a family who owned this estate in the early 19thC, and has been in the Dubordieu family since 1924 and is one of the leading estates in Barsac.

Vineyards of 13 hectares are planted with 85% semillon, 15% sauvignon, producing around 40.000 bottles per vintage.

The 1975 was particulary well noted.

Coming up to its 36th birthday this bottle is in good order with a level of top shoulder (see photo).
The label is clean and free of any marks or scuffs
An Embossed capsule is also intact and showing no signs of leaks.

As one would expect the colour has now turned significantly darker and taking on shades of old straw.

This certainly promises to be a stunning dessert wine.
