Description

Three bottles of this respected traditional producer from the Moulis appellation of Bordeaux - a near neighbour of better known Chasse Spleen and Poujeaux, and sharing a very similar hillside gravel terroir with them.

Recently removed from an OWC which has been stored for many years in an excellent underground Essex cellar.

There is a solitary Cellartracker note, from 2012, in Danish, which rates the wine 87 points. With the help of Google translate we have:

"35 year old wine smells not of the fruit - the color fine deep red - inviting scent and taste the forest floor and dried berry fruit tobag and evils enough tannin. Long aftertaste. Fine harmony."

I guess 'tobag' is 'tobacco', but I've no idea why the tannins are evil!
