Description

95/100 Robert Parker

Soft red, velvety, rich, crisp, good fruit. ***** Michael Broadbent 2010-2020

95 points – A real corker of a wine. A rich, elegant powerful wine. Less weight than the 1996 which helps it feel more elegant. This is a cassis aroma building into liquorice and new oak. RPJ mentioned that both this and the 1996 are classic. Will live till 2025. Wine Investments

Tasted by bino on 12/25/2011 & rated 95 points: Dark crimson, limited signs of colouring at the rim. Intense and typical nose of Haut Medoc: cassis, hint of green pepper, cedar wood, smokey. Medium alcohol, high acidity, long length. Very well made wine, will last for at least 5 more years.

Tasted by Tight Lines on 11/25/2011 & rated 94 points: Bottle 4 of the week. Brilliant - excellent Pauillac. Beautiful bordeax nose of dark cherries and lead pencil, full bodied, tannis nicely developing and a long finish. This was my wine of the week. It still has a lot of life in it and should get better w/ more time in the bottle.
