Description

Bereavement sale

I understand these bottles were stored horizontal in a cellar for many years (obviously) but other than that I have no history

One, as you can see is a 1943 Chateau La Mission Haut Brion. Condition as per photograph. The ullage looks very good. Label is very dirty as pictured.

Bottle #2 looks to be Chateau Lafite, which is the only marking I can see on the foil, together with the words mis en bouteille au chateau.
The one remaining speck of label that has the letter A print looks too low against other Lafite bottles of the era. Top shoulder ullage
I have tried to read the cork but have been unable to read it.

I have set a reasonable reserve, this lot is to include both bottles

Paypal is accepted but I will add 3.5% to the selling bid to cover their fees.

Inspection in north Cardiff is most welcome
