Description

Chateau Lafite Rothschild needs no introduction if you are interested in this amazing bottle.

The 1988 vintage was by and large excellent and Pauillac produced some great wines. A frost free winter and very hot summer produced some wines (such as this wine) capable of amazing longevity.

Jane Anson gave it a 95pts and Decanter magazine a 96pts were just a couple of well known critics to adulate this wine.

Bought from a private collector at auction it shows very good presentation and level and is currently lying in the premises of a wine merchant. A vintage rarely seen in the market in magnum (which aides ageing) this would be available in retail for around £1300 to £1400. Very much in its drinking window.
