First Growth. Premier Grand Cru Classe in 1855.

One of the oldest producers in France, Chateau Latour has been making top quality wines in Bordeaux for centuries. Awarded Premier Cru status in 1855, Latour has not looked back. Today its Grand Vin is one of the finest Cabernets in the world.

Full medium-deep red. Medicinal, austere nose of plum and chocolate; slightly off wood note. Fat and plump, but the fruit is somewhat suppressed and the finish somewhat dried by the off nose. Still a very satisfying drink, but not up to typical bottles of this outstanding wine.
