Description

3 bottles of the 2012 of this long standing 9 hectare estate, owned and managed by Chateau Haut-Bailly and since 2021 subsumed into the wines made by that estate.

Rated an average of 90.5 points on Cellartracker and highly rated by Bordeaux aficionado Chris Kissack, aka The Wine Doctor:

“The 2012 Château Le Pape was one of the most remarkably perfumed wines I have ever encountered, the aromatics brimming with scents of peonies, roses and violets. I tasted it during a visit to the château in October 2015, and I wasn’t surprised to learn that they had essentially sold out, with fewer than a dozen bottles remaining to pour for guests.”

Purchased in-bond from BBR in 2015, this wine has been stored in my spiral cellar and/or Eurocave since being taken out of storage in 2022.

All of the bottles are in good condition and enjoy excellent fill levels (see photographs).
