Description

Bought via Cellartrade in June 2018 from a reputable seller & stored in my Eurocave until 2020 at which point it was transferred to Nickolls & Perks temperature controlled storage until May 23 & now back in my Eurocave. Fill level is into the neck & as you can see the bottle is in excellent condition. See notes below-

99/100, Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider-
If you like great Cuban cigars, the nose here has your name on it. From there add forest floor, leaf, red fruit, spice and flowers and a whole waft of smoke. Full-bodied, powerful, graceful and concentrated, this is a perfect example of a classic Bordeaux at its best. The wine is firm, focused, fresh, pur and mouth-filing, light on its feet, especially when you consider the level of density found here, the fruit is what stands out the most, for it's vibrancy, purity and length. If you need to see what it's all about now, give it two to three hours of air. If you can wait, this will rock your glass in another decade or so. 99/100.
98/100, The Wine Enthusiast, A beautifully structured wine, with it's tannins layered between the ripest black plums, damsons and blackcurrants, it is opulent while remaining dense, concentrated and very serious. Certainly a wine for long term aging. More-
