Description

Chateaux Liversan and Fonpiqueyre have been producing wine in Haut-Medoc since the 18th century. Covering an area of 30 hectares, Château Liversan Cru Bourgeois Supérieur produces elegant wines with great finesse. It is situated in the commune of St Sauveur, which borders Pauillac, at the heart of the Médoc vineyards. The soil, which is fine gravel over a calcium sub-soil is excellent for filtration and allows the vines to root exceptionally well. This protects them from too much water in the spring, whilst receiving all the nourishment that they need, throughout the heat of summer. The recent vintages are as close to what we could have wished for. With solid tannins, the somewhat feminine structure of the wines is revealed by the unctuousness of the tannins and its complex aromas. Ready to drink quite early on, the wines from Château Liversan show good potential for ageing.
