I have for sale 3 bottles of Chateau Montrose 1998 which I have listed as individual lots of one bottle.

I will combine shipping if someone wishes to purchase multiple lots.

These have a drinking window thought to 2025.

5/27/2016 - GABORDEAUXGUY LIKES THIS WINE: 92 Points
Still very young and a tad bit tight. Decanted for about 2 hours before consuming. Loads of red cherry and leather on the nose. Still a tad bit sweet on the first sip. Would certainly purchase more, but hold for another 5 before opening another bottle.

2/19/2016 - THE PLAYER LIKES THIS WINE: 90 Points
One of the less impressive Montroses I've had. Not the best vintage for this wine as the fruit felt diluted and the finish slightly short. Medium bodied, good cassis, leather and graphite, good acidity, ok finish but in my book by the time the tannins fully resolve, the fruit may have dithered. Hope I am wrong.

11/23/2015 - MARQUIS DU VIN WROTE: 93 Points
Delicious wine! Decant helped as tannins still persist although much softer than younger montroses. These wines are tough nuts to crack, take time to develop but the 1998 is opening up nicely. Plenty of dark fruit, chocolate and silky finish... Not as refined as the 1998 Las Cases, but every bit as good! I actually prefer it slightly as its a bolder red... It may have a longer life ahead too, but if you want a classic Montrose now, this is a good pick!
