Lovely Pauillac aromas, with pencil and dark fruit. Lively and fruity for its age. I have followed this wine for almost 20 years now, and it has become better every time I taste it.

Mature dark fruit profile with tobacco notes. Some tannins on the finish. Medium bodied; refined. Nice.

Another Saturday at Knightsbridge - mostly blind (Northbrook, IL): Tasted double blind. Black fruit with mushroomy aromas and flavors. Very well textured and balanced, quite nice for its age from an "ok" vintage. Doing very well for its age.

Mother-in-law's 60th birthday present to me - what a star! Decanted for 90 mins. Colour still very deep, woody minty blackcurrant nose. Initial taste tannic and austere, but opened up over 45 mins to be a complex long mouthful. Ripe spiced fruit appears with layers of vanilla and chocolate. Very very long. This wine didn't have a great reputation in the community but it proved to be an excellent special occasion wine.
