Description

The lesson is taken from the 3rd book of the gospel according to St Parker (October 1990)

"The classic Mouton lead pencil, cedary nose has begun to emerge. Medium dark ruby, this elegant, medium bodied wine will never be a great or legendary Moutom. The flavors are ripe and moderately rich. With good depth and some firm tannins to resolve, this offering from Mouton is bigger and richer than the 1981, 1979 or 1978. Austere by the standards of Mouton and the vintage, the 1983 resembles the chateau`s fine 1966. Anticipated maturity: now - 2015 90/100 points.

and from Berry Brothers (who are offering it at £365 a bottle - a snip)
"Still youthful in colour and quite discreet and restrained on he nose. On the palate the wine is more evolved and is medium to full-bodied, displays good grip and plenty of depth of fruit. Drinking well now but probably nearing the end of its plateau of maturity".
