Description

Lovely soft red, maturing rich, singed, fruit and depth. Medium sweet, deliciously rich flavour, flesh masking tannin, refreshing. Very good. ***(*) Michael Broadbent

Analogy was stinky cheese. However, flavors of a classic bordeaux blend. Earthy with cherry flavored manure. Very enjoyable.

Dark dry dusty aromas shows some black cherry, black berry, and light graphite like qualiites.
Nice flavors in lighter than typical style for Mouton. Somewhat leaner fruits and zippy acidity with a rather delicate mouthfeel. quite enjoyable and refined style with medium long finish. Good spices. Does not seem to have stuffing for a long life or more upside, but an enjoyable wine.

Tasting oldies: 75 DB, 81 Lafite, 85 Canon, 89 Talbot, 90 Mouton and contrasting 10 Contadino 8. The 75 DB was called a clear winner ahead of the 90 Mouton, followed by Canon and Talbot and the Lafite (!) last amongst the oldies. All bottles in great shape. The 75 stellar. This is why we store Bordeaux for 20+ years :)
