Description

Perfect condition bottle from newly opened case. This is a 3L format & would make an excellent 18th Birthday present. Robert Parker scored 96/100 with a drinking window from 2023-2055 so plenty of years to age yet if required. Deep, dark, ruby-red color, it is almost opaque. Intense vivid cassis bursts onto the palate where it joins clean cedar & blackcurrant-leaf notes. The palate is currently very closed-up, its dark fruit being smothered by fine tight tannins & flavors of cedar. Acid & alcohol are well-balanced and the dark fruit core lasts well. The wine's concentration & balance suggests it has a long potential life-span, and that with time it will open superbly.
