About the wine:
Château Pavie Macquin occupies one of Saint-Émilion s finest limestone plateaux, adjoining Château Troplong Mondot and close to Château Pavie.
The estate has long been recognised for producing classically styled, Cabernet Franc-influenced Saint-Émilion with freshness, structure and longevity.
The estate was later promoted to Saint Emilion Premier Grand Cru Classe and is surrounded by three other such estates.
The excellent 1989 vintage has matured gracefully and remains one of the standout Right Bank vintages of the decade, producing wines capable of rewarding extended cellaring.
This is drinking very well at present with the tannins now reaching full resolution.

Bottle/condition:
75cl. Fill level: base of neck. Label and capsule clean for age. Stored cool, dark and temperature-controlled. Photos show the actual bottle.
