Description

Chateau Potensac is owned and run by the Delon family on the same lines as Leoville Las Cases and more recently Nenin.

Perhaps the best known chateau in the whole of the "Medoc" appellation (but Chateau Loudenne will dispute this).

60% cabernet sauvignon, 25% merlot and 15% cabernet franc cover the 126 acres of vineyards.

Writing in 1995, St Parker states "This wine has been fully mature for over 5 years, yet it continues to offer up plenty of good, spicy, ripe black cherry fruit in its earthy, spicy, pleasing personality. It is plump, tasty, and satisfying. It should be drunk up over the next 5-6 years." 87/100.
