Description

Two bottles of this Margaux 2nd growth from the excellent 2000 vintage.

This wine is still very young, but seems to be beginning to open up at last, based on recent Cellartracker notes:

Hardly any discolouration, glossy and dark. Floral on the nose, rich and sweet fruit, notes of mocha and smoke. Quite open and expressive and very pretty. On the palate quite soft with lots of sweet fruit at first, good acidity, ripe but grippy tannins, spicy, tight. Lovely length. Definitely approachable, but should get better over the next couple of years. 92-93+

Found this wine to be pretty open right after popping cork. Crimson in the glass, great nose. Earthy finish with great fruit.
