Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Colledila 2016 Magnum (100% Sangiovese) offers a tense and concentrated aroma characterized by aromas of black fruit, spiced cherry and black currant, rose hips and sweet earth on the back. Fruit of the new generation of Castello di Brolio, after the new zoning carried out by the family after having recovered the ownership of the company Ricasoli 1141 (1993), this cru takes its name from the vineyard from which it comes, which covers about 7 hectares . about 400 meters above sea level, facing southeast. As for the "Great Selection" of Chianti Classico, this crossing belongs to the most selective appellation in the Chianti area, born in 2014 with the purpose of distinction and nobility and original products of the exclusive brand owned by the producer, which have had a minimum investigation of 30 months with a minimum alcoholic strength of 13%. The wine is fresh and decisive on the palate, but it also has an immediate character, which means that it is not necessary to wait long to open the cork. Like the other Barone Ricasoli wines, the intensity and strength of the mouthfeel have been deliberately toned down to give this wine a more elegant and light approach, a good companion to delicate charcuterie. Fermented mainly from Sangiovese, fresh cherry, strawberries and red plums delight the senses when tasting this wine. Chianti is a red wine that comes from Tuscany, but may contain small amounts of white grapes during blending. This is not the case for Chianti Classico, which must be obtained exclusively from red Sangiovese grapes.
