Top shoulder. Cork came out in two pieces, soaked to the top. Old leather and earth, a hint of spices and some tertiary aromas which are difficult to describe. Middle weight, fresh, soft and almost no tannins left. Lovely balance, medium long finish and most drinkable. A gentle old school Bordeaux, albeit a little more concentration would have suited it well.

Outstand Chateau Canon. Started very closed but over an hour of decanting the wine was show very well. The wine was very aromatic, showing of its St. Emillion charateristics. Hints of dark fruits with a range of tobacco & leather. Very round mouth feel and a smooth long finish
