Robert Parker / The Wine Advocate :
"This is a lovely Ducru that retains much of the silky, elegant personality of a top-class St.-Julien. However, it does not have the concentration and richness of the 1982, 1978, 1970, or 1961. Now fully mature, this medium-weight, firm, yet rich, savory, and well-constituted 1976 has plenty of character and elegance".

As one can see from the photo it was impossible to detect the vintage of this bottle without surgery on the capsule which reveals the 1976 on the cork. This handywork is visible in the photo.

This bottle had lain for many years in a West Surrey cellar but the label had suffered.
