Description

Château de Luze has been under the ownership of the De Luze family since the 1860 s and, during that time, has seen a few ups and downs in its fortunes. In the early 2000 s under the guidance of Frédéric de Luze the estate underwent comprehensive renovation and along with major improvements in both winemaking and vineyard management the estate has slowly but surely re-established itself a serious player in Margaux. The energetic Frédéric de Luze sadly died aged only 54 in 2016, but under the stewardship of his sisters Catherine and Marguerite standards continue to be maintained.

A superb cru bourgeois: Rich, dark red in colour. Intense aromas of forest & bramble fruits - ripe loganberry, blackberry and wild strawberry. The palate is brimming with sweet fruits, balanced by vanilla oak, savoury leather & tobacco, mocha with fresh herbs in the finish. Full bodied and voluptuous, mouth coating with deliciously silky, elegant tannins
