TWO LOTS OF TWO BOTTLES each with a bottle from 1989 and 1990.

These come from a loving home where they have been carefully cellared since release.

All four bottles have pristine labels, levels well into the neck and fine embossed capsules - see photos.

1989 Suduiraut, Sauternes

92 points Wine Spectator
Exotically perfumed violet and rose petals burst on your palate, accompanied by dried apricot, lemon and honey flavors. Gorgeous and subtle, glowing on the finish. (4/1995)

90 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar
Vibrant aromas of fruit salad and honey. Moderately viscous and bright in the mouth; not nearly as powerful as the '90. Nicely balanced, even if there still a bit of acidity to be absorbed. Intensely flavored and youthful. (7/1998)

Luminous copper. Full and round and very opulent. Round and full and clean and open on the nose. Though not desperately subtle. More almonds on the nose. Very round, not especially complex but clean and bumptious and again with a slightly burnt undertow. Full finish, rather opulent and exciting. Already quite evolved. 18/20 points. (7/2004)

1990 Suduiraut, Sauternes

Botrytis bomb. Gold color. Loads of spicy, almond and toffee character with pineapple fruit. Full-bodied, very sweet and very, very ripe. Blistering long finish. A bit rustic, but amazing. Can age as long as you like. 90% Semillon and 10% Sauvignon Blanc. (8/2000)

Light copper color. Extravagant, expressive aromas of tropical fruits, honey, smoked meat and grilled nuts. Thick, sweet and glyceral in the mouth (15.3% alcohol), at once honeyed and tangy. Very long and very youthful on the aftertaste. Offers considerable potential. (7/1998)

Decanter
Deep, rich gold. A more backward nose than the colour suggests. Luxuriantly liquoreux on the palate in a barley sugar style. Already delicious. (12/1997)
