Description

Clos Saragnat Ice Cider 2009 Avalanche (this is a filtered Ice Cider).
The first Ice Cider was created by Christian Barthomeuf during the winter 1989/1990. Christian has developed Ice Cider over 20 years and has work for companies such as "Domaine Pinnacle" and “Domaine Cotes d'Ardoise”.
He makes his Ice Cider without any pesticides or herbicides in the orchards and the finished product is certified “Organic”.
What is the the difference of this Ice Cider to others -
Some producers of Ice Cider will pick the apples in the autumn and place them in cold storage until the frosts come. They then move the apples from cold storage to outside to allow them to freeze “naturally”. Other producers will press the apples in the autumn to gain the juice and place in cold storage, the juice goes from cold storage to outside to allow it to freeze “naturally”. Clos Saragnat does not bend the rules, they only produce the purest organic Ice Cider from apples frozen on the tree.
