Description

DESCRIPTION FROM CERTIFICATE:
This cuvee is produced from the best white wines and red wines of Champagne, predominantly from Pinot Noir grapes from the greatest vineyards of the Montagne de Reims.
The proportions are: 70% Pinot Noir, including approximately 15% red wine, and 30% Chardonnay (100% grands crus).

The subtle blending of these different ingredients has resulted in a brilliant pink "Brazilian topaz" colour. Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Rose also has distinctly delicate, lively bubbles. It has a powerful and intense bouquet revealing fruity and floral aromas of raspberry and violet. Its characteristic richness, sensuality, harmony and refinement mark it out as an exceptional champagne with a strongly aromatic note.

Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Rose is only produced in great years when the warmth of the sun during August and the first half of September ripens the grapes to perfect maturity.

It is presented in traditional Champenoise bottles, as used before the French Revolution, in the cellars of the Saint-Nicaise Abbey (XIIIth Century), which is today the property of Champagne Taittinger.
