Description

Allen Meadows (Burghound) 93+pts -
Most of the oak this displayed from barrel has now been successfully integrated on the restrained, cool, pure and layered nose of black cherry, cassis, warm earth and an impressive array of sauvage and underbrush notes. There is moderately good richness to the overtly powerful and muscular flavors that possess an imposing sense of scale that continues onto the textured and mouth coating finish that is long, tannic and very Corton in character. Like the 2015 version, this is an old school effort that is presently evolving glacially.

Robe d'un rouge en phase d'épanouissement. Nez ouvert de petits fruits rouges soulignés de tonalités de sous-bois, notes boisées très bien fondues. La bouche est épanouie mais d'une grande fraîcheur et montre une personnalité aromatique très cohérente. (Red color in the blooming phase. Open nose of small red fruits highlighted by undergrowth tones, very well blended woody notes. The palate is full but very fresh and shows a very coherent aromatic personality.)

This bottle was very recently removed from Eton Park LCB where it has been stored since purchase en primeur.
