Description

2 bottles of Real de Asua 2010 - excellent vintage - from a recently opened owc.

This wine is made from grapes from the best vineyards in Rioja Alta. The date of harvest is determined by analysis and periodic tastings of the grape, indicators of the optimum state of ripeness. After a careful selection in the vineyard and in the wine cellar, the grapes come into the french oak vats where the alcoholic fermentation takes place. Then it is taken into new french oak barrels where the malolactic fermentation takes place and ages for 18 months.

Lush, layered and deep as an ocean trench, this ultraripe, expressive wine pumps out blackberry, cassis and chocolate flavors prior to a lush, mile-long finish. Amazingly pure and delicious; drink through 2025.
