Description

Tasting description is as follows:-

Huge, sweet aromas of black fruits, spices, and oak are followed by a wine with great fruit extraction, full body, layers of richness, and that multidimensional, layered feel that this wine routinely obtains. Always with a flattering personality, the 1992 has resulted in a more unctuous and voluptuous wine than previous vintages.

Blend: 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc, 5% Merlot


Label detail is as follows:-

Dalla Valle Vineyards is located on a plateau 400 feet above the Napa Valley floor, on the East side of Silverado Trail on Oakville Hill. This provides a perfect exposure to the sun and is blessed with a cool breeze from San Fransisco Bay which helps reduce summer temperatures, especially at night.
The reddish colored soil at Dalla Valle Vineyards is comprised of 70-90% fractured rock of volcanic origin and the fractures are filled with clay loam and clay soil, providing a pathway for the vine roots.
All of that, plus a low yield of approximately 2.5 tons per acre produces grapes of a very high quality which are the foundation of Dalla Valle Cabernet, a blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc and 5% Merlot.
