Description

Three bottles fresh from a case recently removed from bonded storage.

Parker awarded his 98 points way back in 2003.

Here's a much more recent Cellartracker note, from Feb 2016:
2/7/2016 - LA CAVE D'ARGENT LIKES THIS WINE: 94 Points
From a bottle purchased upon release and cellared in pristine fashion, this deep red/garnet wine has achieved a beautiful balance of structure, fruit and tertiary aromas. With a core of dark cherry and blackberry fruit, it has now developed complimentary nuances of pipe tobacco, saddle leather, lavender and cocoa. Full-bodied, freshly acidic and with medium-weight tannins which are now supple in texture, it has excellent mid-palate presence and throws no heat from its 15.0% alcohol. Closing with impressive length, this reminds me of the saying "good things come to those who wait." There is plenty enough stuffing here to allow well-cellared bottles their spotlight for at least another five years. Drink now-2021.
