Description


Domaine de la Grange de Pères is one of the most celebrated wine estates in the Languedoc region. The estate has gained a cult following and its wines are highly sought-after due to their limited production and exceptional quality. It was established in 1989 in Aniane – a stone's throw from Mas de Daumas Gassac – by the late Laurent Vaillé.

Having gained experience at such illustrious producers as Coche-Dury in Burgundy, Chave in Hermitage and Domaine Trévallon in Provence, Vaillé was known for his meticulous and passionate approach to winemaking.

"One of the icon estates in the Languedoc, Domaine de la Grange des Peres, has made an upfront, sweetly fruited 2012 Grange des Peres that’s already drinking great. Showing lots of garrigue, olive, pepper and sweet dark fruit, it has medium to full-bodied richness, no hard edges and plenty of ripe tannin. Having just had the 1992 (the first vintage), I know this cuvee can age, but there’s certainly no harm in enjoying this vintage in its youth"
