Description

Monopole widely regarded as of GC quality.

Berry Brothers' website:
"Famously, vines for white wine have been planted here since 1110, adjoining the northern wall of Clos Vougeot. The monks clearly knew what they were doing. Arguably, this is the finest white wine of the Côte de Nuits."

Cellartracker amateur tasting notes indicate still drinking well. (Though I disagree with and think the latest note, simply "oaky" is incorrect in absolute terms).

I bought a case of 12 IB from a Dreweatts auction in the early 2020s and have drunk 7 with pleasure. I'm keeping 2 and selling these 3 as part of the ongoing clearout. After purchase they were stored at LCB Eton Park for a couple of years, then withdrawn in 6bt OCCs, the second of which was late last year. These three have been in my Liebherr since.

Don't drink it too cold, and do give it a bit of time to breathe.
