Description

My last two bottles of this rare wine which otherwise currently seems to be available only in Japan. Also appears as Moulin Touchais-the two are the same.

A couple of Cellartracker notes:

“4/27/2015 - tendring Likes this wine: 92 Points
Moulin Touchais - Liquid Gold from the Loire (LSE): Burnt gold.
Oxidised nose, very mature, some fruit, marmalade.
Very marmalade in the mouth, great balance, lots of character, great fruity mid palate, very long.”

In the umami zone – palo cortado - but skinnier and fresher. Some decent grilled peach and exotic fruit – pineapple and mango in the mix. The tightness of the acid is holding this together well. Would be fascinating to try this alongside a roast pork fillet stuffed with apricots.”

I bought these bottles from a local wine merchant more than 10 years ago and have cellared them properly since. The bottles on sale are the ones in the photographs and are in decent condition for their age. There is some discoloration on the capsules as shown, a little scuffing on the main labels and some cellar discolouration/spotting on the vintage labels. The levels are as shown.
