About the wine:
From an historic 1.16 ha parcel on deep marl-limestone soils in the Unter Sœdlen slope of Hengst, this Clos Häuserer shows the hallmark combination of intense minerality and crisp structure typical of the site.
The 1988 vintage has developed notes of petrol, flint and stony citrus skin alongside bright acidity and a lean finish — a mature profile reflecting age while retaining the signature site character.

Critic’s View:
“Pale yellow colour. Inviting wet-rock, mineral-driven nose … pure, precise, tight, very dry.”
