Description

Bought by me on release and stored in a Eurocave ever since. Very fine condition from the great year of 2005. Will be packed securely in a cardboard box with an air sac for added protection. I can t find this for sale in the UK.

Please note no overseas sale.

"...(this and the Latricières are from the oldest vines of the Domaine and this wine comes from a superbly situated 1 ha parcel of Clos de Vougeot high on the hill, next to Alfred Haegelen’s parcel adjoining the wall). Moderate reduction makes the nose tricky to read but the rich, full-bodied, intense and extremely powerful flavors possess palate saturating dry extract on the austere and forceful finish. This doesn’t have the sleek muscularity and tension of the Bonnes Mares but if anything, there is arguably even better material here crafted in an old school style. Flat out superb and for fans of old school burgs, this is one to consider carefully."
