Description

2 bottles of this hard to find wine from the cult winery Dry River. Currently unavailable outside of Australasia.

Notes from the winery: A pale greenish-lemon in hue with a bouquet which has variously been described as floral or that of ripe pears, plus lemon zest and an obvious mineral note akin to what you would expect from wet slate. Well structured and mouthwateringly intense, it has a firm entry, cleansing yet rich flavours of ripe lemon zest, lime and green apple and the obvious minerality also found in the nose. The power and structure of this wine place it close to Alsace in style, it should be good for matching with food. Our Rieslings can be quite long lived, depending on vintage. Drink from 3 or 4 years (if cellared well) and keep at least a few for the long term to see what treasures develop.
