Description

Viñedo Chadwick is Errazuriz owner Eduardo Chadwick's homage to his father. Eduardo planted a vineyard in front of the house where he grew up, and has worked for the last fifteen years to create one of Chile's greatest wines.

The 1999 Viñedo Chadwick is a big, powerful,full-bodied wine that features spicy blackberry,black cherry and tobacco with toasted almonds and caramel oak notes in the background. The aromas are of toast, vanilla, fruits and cedar. Ripe, round tannins create a velvety texture on the palate and a long, smooth finish. The wine has the structure and balance to mature for many years.

This was the first vintage produced of what has become an iconic wine following the 2006 Berlin Tasting where Vinedo Chadwick 2000 came third in a blind tasting ahead of such wines as Margaux, Lafite, Tiganello, and Sassacaia,
