Description

One half of each of Extravagant, 2001 & 2003 each in its own half bottle 'coffin', tissue wrapped undisturbed. Immaculate appearance. Both are just coming into their drinking cycle but will last for ages. Parker puts the 2001 at 2004/2015 but this probably understates the case. Sauternes of this quality lasts for ever. He describes the 2001 as "huge, unctuous fruit bomb with botrytis, honeysuckle ... so complelling". The 2003 is unlikely to be much different. 96/100 for the 2001 and 99/100 for the 2003 seems to be the reverse of what might be expected.
