The 2020 Châteauneuf Du Pape La Crau De Ma Mere comes all from the La Crau lieu-dit and is 80% Grenache and 10% each of Syrah and Mourvedre. Darker berry fruits, scorched earth, ground pepper, iron, and meaty notes all emerge on the nose, and it’s medium to full-bodied, has a concentrated, layered mouthfeel, fabulous tannins, and a great, great finish. This classic, elegant 2020 is going to put a smile on your face any time over the coming 15+ years. (Jeb Dunnuck)
