When to drink: 2009 to 2019
Served at a birthday gathering in.....Burgundy! The first double magnum (what a phrase!) was a bit subdued and soft but the second was much more vigorous and lively with rich meatiness. Clearly not a top vintage for this appellation but pretty glorious now. Jancis Robinson
