Description

From a parcel of Pichon's Vineyards just over the border in St Julien.
This fine Bordeaux was made and bottled by an acclaimed Pauillac 2nd Growth situated at the southern end of the appellation. It owns just one hectare of vines "across the border" in neighbouring St Julien. No more than 250 cases of this vintage were produced. The wine, as befits Grand Cru winemaking, was then aged for 12 months in French oak of which 50% was new. 2006 was a very good vintage for the late-ripening Cabernet Sauvignon and this classic claret will repay cellaring due to its robust structure and dense fruit.
