Description

Purchased from BFW and stored in a Purpose built wine cupboard from purchase. A few marks on the label but very good level for age and cork is firm (see pictures). Rousseau is very highly regarded in Burgundy and 2002 was considered a very good vintage. See merchant comments below.

Domaine Armand Rousseau is one of the shining stars of Burgundy and the wines it produces are by far some of the most collectible in the world. For four generations, the Rousseau family have worked tirelessly and passionately on some of the finest terroirs of the Côte de Nuits. Based in Gevrey-Chambertin, the domaine unquestionably sits amongst the greats of Burgundy with a portfolio of wines from some of the most revered vineyards in the region.

The domaine covers 15 hectares and three acres. Well-known for producing finely structured Pinot Noir reds of great elegance and remarkable longevity, the flagship Chambertin Grand Cru is extremely sought after.
