Description

Levels 3 BN, rest into neck, good appearance, embossed capsules, signs of old seepage on several paper seals.

Mid tawny. Slightly reticent nose of gingerbread, Christmas cake and dried cherry. Voluptuous palate, with silky tannins and spicy, figgy intensity. Integral, dark-chocolate finish. Overall, gives the sense that this still has another phase to go – I’d love to see this in 10 years. (TJ) Tim Jackson MW (September 2020) JancisRobinson.com

Recently removed from a private cellar, this lot was acquired by the current owner through his father-in-law, a well-regarded Gloucestershire fine wine merchant.
