Recent tast.ng notes I have located on the Mount Edelstones:-

1990 Henschke Mount Edelstone.
Incredible wine of port like intensity,quite remarkable extraction in this wine.The nose filled the room and blind,you would be sure it was fortified.Still unctuous on the palate after all these years.The wine has balance too and is drinking very well.Really enjoyed the wine and would list it as one of the greatest Australian wines.(92 Points).

1994 Henschke Mount Edelstone.
Purple colour with some ruby at the rim.Beautiful nose of raspberry,black cherry.Massive,but not overextracted palate of raspberry,black cherry,spice,some tar.Vibrant acidity and maturing tannin.Still has some years left...absolutely delicious wine.(94 Points).
