The legendary 1961 La Chapelle from Jaboulet has been described as 'unquestionably one of the greatest wines made in the twentieth century' and 'truly immortal'. It also boasts a perfect 100pts from Robert Parker.

This bottle is one of three purchased from the recent Zachys sale of the cellar of Graham Lyons, a London barrister who in turn purchased the wine from OW Loeb on 4th June 1983. One other bottle from the lot was consumed at a dinner on 5th October and was in perfect condition.
