Description

This is a rare opportunity to purchase 6 bottles of the most famous wine from one of the Rhone Valley's most iconic producers with one bottle from each of the years 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003 & 2004.

The case has been stored since purchase at The Wine Society (so I cannot provide pictures of the actual bottles, nor ullage).

A couple of tasting notes to whet the appetite:

2001: "Ripe color, brightened edge, very deep, ripe nose, that s wonderfully complex, leather, spicy notes, tar and a hint of pepper, very complex, soft and ripe on the palate, that s on point, wonderfully balanced, that s complex, playful, but very, very balanced, that s spicy, wonderfully balanced, full of finesse, that s great, sensationally beautiful, now until 2024" - 93/100, Adrian van Velsen - vvWine.ch(translated from German)
