Description

Job Lot: Selection of six (6) Alscase wines, including Gewürztraminer.

Provenance is a house clearance situation (probate).

Gentleman kept a modest, old-school cellar at his rural home.

These bottles were found stored upright, rather than on their side. This may partially explain disappointing ullage on some of the 2001 vintages; nevertheless, older vintages appear in excellent (and better) condition.

Capsule appears to be in good condition. Ullage appears to be between 2.5 to 3.0 cm.

Charles Fahrer, Tokay Pinot Gris, 1996.

Capsule appears to be in good condition. Ullage appears to be between 2.0 to 3.0 cm.

Capsule appears to be in good condition. Ullage appears to be between 2.0 to 3.0 cm.

Rolly Gassmann, Gewürztraminer, 2001 (x3)

(1) Capsule appears to be in good condition. Ullage appears to be between 2.0 to 2.5 cm.

(2) Capsule somewhat discoloured (please refer to photographs) but otherwise appears to be sound. Ullage appears to be between 4.0 to 4.5 cm.

(2) Capsule somewhat discoloured (please refer to photographs) but otherwise appears to be sound. Ullage appears to be between 3.5 to 4.0 cm.





Foil and cork all appear to be in good condition. Ullage appears to be excellent for the age; the fill level is c. 0.5cm below the foil, and is estimated to be between 6.5 and 7.0 cm below the level of the cork.
