Description

A TRUE RARITY - Top condition JJ Prum Beerenaulese 1983. An exceptional wine from an exceptional vintage.
Inherited from a former MD of Corney & Barrow, this has been stored in an underground cellar since original acquisition, and more recently held in a professional wine fridge at cellar temperature.
1983 is a rated by Madame Prum as one of the top vintages of the last few decades for both Auslese and Beerenaulese (interview in Guildsomm Riesling Podcast, 2019). Little or no ullage, and both label and capsule are in near perfect condition.
Only a handful of these wines still exist; Winesearcher lists two, both hovering around the £1000 mark.
