Description

A bold, forceful presence in the glass that subtly changes, ever so slightly, over time. By day two it was probably in finer form than when first opened, a good sign revealing the five-year-old’s compact nature and potential complexity. It definitely has time on its side.

Dense in aroma, rich and penetrating in cigar box/smoky oak, allspice, clove, earth, briar, bramble and ripe black fruits. Steady reliable tannins steer the ship across a multi-layered palate in notes of earth and savouriness, black hearted fruits and some delectable spices and herbs.
